Getting yourself prepared for the interview
As an interviewee, you should at least educate yourself a little bit about the company including the history of the company, the clients, portfolio, etc. in order to gain a higher chance to be accepted.
And here are the 5 most common questions you’ll find on job interviews and what they actually mean:
Question:
“Tell me about yourself”
What it actually means:
“What makes you different from the other candidates?”
Question:
“What are your strengths?”
What it actually means:
“In what way are you going to help our company with your skills?”
Question:
“What are your weaknesses?”
What it actually means:
“Are you going to let your weaknesses harm us and our business in any way?”
Question:
"How did you find this job?"
What it actually means:
“Do you really want to work here with us or did you find us by chance – is any kind of job is okay to you?”
Question:
"What are your salary expectations?"
What it actually means:
“How much do you value your work?”
These questions are very commonly asked on interviews and may appear on your interview as well. From a neutral point of view, the interviewee is suggested to answer all the questions with honesty and without exaggerating the answers.
